The Master in Las Vegas July 2010 Pt. 3

The next day, Wednesday, had me and my friends, Alan and Aisha hitting the pool.
Then, Alan, Wally, and I end up going to the awesome Pinball Museum. This kick ass place, off the strip, had so many cool games! We had tons of fun, and it really didn’t cost much to enjoy.
OK, so you could say I didn’t do much on Wed, and yeah, that would be the truth. But, on Thursday, which was our last full day, and we had to enjoy it. We hit the pool, first.

Then, since Aisha and Alan were going to the MGM Grand for a burlesque show, I texted my friend, who at the time lived in one of the MGM Grand condos, and met up with her, that evening. I told her to pick a place for us to go to, so she picked Rouge. At the time it was a nice quite place with a wonderful atmosphere to have wine at. I really thought she made a great choice. Interestingly enough, when I passed that place in Jan of this year, it was loud and crowded. Not the same feel. Oh well.

After that we played pool at Game Works which is located next to the MGM Grand. It’s a fun place that fellow gamers will totally wanna hit. We then caught a quick bite at Dell Taco. I actually had Dell Taco on Wed, and at that point I had stated that it was better than Taco Bell. Well, that changed when we both got sick from eating there, despite eating different stuff. She had tacos, I had nachos. Cut forward to Jan, when that place is closed down and replaced by a Japanese food place. Well, food poisoning will do that to your shitty food joint, motherfucker.

I actually noticed on my second trip to Vegas that there are many beautiful Asian women that hang or work at the MGM Grand. I feel it is my duty to pass that info to my fellow Asian girl lovers. Also, that first time I didn’t hit the lion’s habitat. I didn’t get to do that when I was out with with my friend, well just cause, butI did in January of this year, and I liked it. Even though the lions didn’t do much, except lie around, but still I’m an animal lover, so I still enjoyed it.

Anyways, back to that Thurs, we said our good-byes and the next day all of us were sad to go back to New York. I honestly love Vegas, and I always think about it all the time. NYC, though, will always be my home, and it will always hold my heart. I am a NYer born and bled, and that will never fucking change. There ain’t a place greater than NYC. But, if I was ever to move and could choose where I move to; I would totally pick Vegas. Can’t wait to go back. And, whether it is business, pleasure, or both, I can assure you that I will.

The Master in Las Vegas July 2010 Pt. 2

Day two had me waking up for some good Harrah’s made breakfast. I just chilled for most of the first half of the day. Two of my friends were going to the Grand Canyon. I, though, had dinner reserved with my friend from Vegas at the Postrio in the Venetian. I wanted to chill and relax so as to not be in a rush to get ready for that night. So, it became my first day at the Harrah’s pool. I listened to some metal and read Rue Morgue, while just chilling. I was so happy at that moment and thoroughly enjoying and relaxing and not dealing with shitty stress, that I even tweeted that at that moment.

Well, when the time came we met up and went to the beautiful Italian restaurant. The Postrio has delicious food, and as she, herself pointed out, great atmosphere. It’s an excellent place for fine dining. I would tell her later (to be more precise on Thurs) that I had done much research before picking it as the place for us to eat at. I should point out that Vegas doesn’t seat you ahead of time. So, get there at the exact moment, unless you don’t mind waiting around. They are VERY punctual, over there.

I guess it goes without saying that you should do some research for, yourself, and part of the reason I did this blog, is to recommend some nice places for you Vegas virgins, out there.

Anyways, surrounding the outside (which is not an actual outside area) are gondolas, which come in from outside the hotel itself. We were in the inside part. I reserved this part thinking it would be too hot on the outside (not realizing at the time that it’s not truly outside), but the lighting was perfect. And, I think it worked just fine.

Since, at this time, she was living there, she knew the area better than me. I mentioned the Star Trek bar I had read about. She took me to it, at the Hilton. We rode the monorail to get there.

Now, for us East-coasters, the monorail will come off as a nice surprise as it is clean! All kidding aside, it is nice. Anyway, once we made our way to the Hilton. We saw two things:
1. Next to Vince Neil's Dr. Feelgood bar there is some cool memorabilia, but the bar, itself, it is deader than shit. There were two old people at the bar and that’s it! That ain’t metal, bro. It most definitely ain’t Duffs. So, this helps to remind me (not that I needed to), why Duffs rules. And, why only the East-coast could have it.
2. The Star Trek bar is no longer there. Some remnants remain like some of décor, but it ain’t there. Sorry, Trekkies! Funny thing- Spike TV has a show, Three Sheets, about drinking and traveling, that they advertise as new. Well, it ain’t. It’s new on THEIR channel. Proof is they recommend the Star Trek bar, which ain’t there no more, about a month or so, ago. Oh, well. It’s still a good show, but, you get my drift.

TO BE CONCLUDED.....

The Master in Las Vegas July 2010 Pt. 1

I went to Las Vegas about a year ago. But, I never really wrote about it here, or anywhere else for that matter, cause I figured no one gave a crap. The lack of porn, metal, and horror made me think that way. But, since I have been taking an article writing class, I began to feel inspired to finally write it. And, then my friend Natalie told me, on Twitter, that I should go ahead and just do it! So, here it is. It’s actually pretty tame, but there are lots of pics. And, it should hopefully show why I fell in love with Vegas from the moment, our limo drove down the strip. And, why if you ain’t done so yet, should get your ass over there, ASAP.

I had always wanted to go to Vegas (though my main reason was originally to see the AEEs, something I would end up doing almost six months later). At that time, I had a friend who was living out there and hanging with her, gave me someone to chill with over there. And, that in of itself was another reason for me to go there. When my friends decided to join me, I had it set!

I took the cab to JFK airport with my friend Alan on July of 2010. There we met up with his girlfriend Aisha and our friend Wally. We took the flight out to Las Vegas and got there at about noonish. Like I said in the intro, we took a limo and drove through the strip. This was my first time ever in a limo. I proudly wore my Duffs Brooklyn shirt to represent! From this moment my heart was taken by the beauty and awesomeness of the city.We ate dinner at KGB in the Harrah’s (which is where Alan, Aisha, and I stayed at. Wally stayed at the Wynn). The burgers were damn fucking good, there! We then took our first walk down the strip. I shot some video of the beautiful Las Vegas water show at the Bellagio.

You know what's one thing that really caught my eye? Well, aside from the beauty of the city or the hotties walking around, it was the ads for escort services! Not only did they hand out cards on the strip for them, but there are trucks that pass by with the ads on them! Awesome! You ain't gonna see that in NYC!

I would also like to point out that it is legal for people to walk around Vegas with alcohol in their hands. Like my East-coast friends and I said, that would NEVER work back home!

Finally, on our first day/ night, I got my pic taken with two hottie showgirls. I mean what else would you expect from me?

TO BE CONTINUED....

Slime City Massacre Release at Forbidden Planet NYC

This past Friday the 13th (May 2011), I went to Forbidden Planet NYC for the release and signing of the gore flick Slime City Massacre. One of the major reasons that I went, aside from getting the movie itself and getting signed, was to see my friend Debbie Rochon. I had not seen her in years!

Anyways, when I got in the store to actually get on line there was already a line forming.

The first person to sign my newly bought DVD was writer/ director (who also made the original cult favorite Slime City) Greg Lamberson. Next, was the pretty Mary Bogle.
Then, came the always beautiful and wonderful Debbie Rochon! Like I said I had not seen my friend in years. As we talked it was probably a Chiller (note she ain't done Chiller in ages) or a Fango con (there ain't been one of those in a long and even longer since I been to one she was at!). Anyway, we talked for a little while and it was great to see her and catch up. She's truly an amazing person.

Troma head Lloyd Kaufman was there, too. He was entertaining people like only her can. In fact, that his camera that you can catch a glimpse of on the pic of Debbie and me.

Ultimately, I had an awesome time, and I was very glad I went. I am looking forward to actually watching Slime City Massacre!

Some Love for Jason on this Friday the 13th

Ahh, it's Friday the 13th, dear friends and readers! And, to me and many fans, it means that it's time to show some love for one of the greatest horror villains, ever, Jason Voorhees!

I've given tons of love for the series, in the past, including reviewing just about the whole franchise. But, this time I just wanna throw-out some random thoughts and love for it.

The first one I ever watched was Friday the 13th pt. VII: The New Blood, as a kid, on video. I fell in love with the series right then and there! Admit ably, the movie is sort of brain-dead, but it is fun. Plus, I developed a total crush on it's heroine Tina (Lar-Park Lincoln) and the bitchy Melissa (Susan Jennifer Sullivan). While, Lincoln did other films and TV and does cons, many wonder what has happened to Sullivan. Man, she was such a babe!

The best entry is still the original, which also happens to be one of the finest slasher movies, ever made. The ending is still totally killer after all these years. The worst? Easy. Jason Takes Manhattan, the eighth one in the series. But, it does have it's moments, including a dude who boxes Jason, a blonde babe who marks all her best parts for her teacher, Jason actually being in NYC, and the GORGEOUS Kelly Hu! It's still shit, though.
Jason's look always changed, but from the awesome Jason Lives (the 6th entry) and beyond, he was pretty much a zombie. The aforementioned New Blood had the best Jason look, while Jason Takes Manhattan had his lamest look. And, his lamest death! Death by toxic waste? What the fuck? So, we can beat him by sending him to a New Jersey dump?! =\ His best death scene? To me, it is his slide down the machete and the further chopping with it by Corey Feldman in the fourth entry, The Final Chapter.

The series has always had a it's share of hotties, both victims and heroines. Aside, from the aforementioned honies, who doesn't love Part 2's Kirsten Baker's ass or the 4th flick's twins? As far as final girls go, part five's Melanie Kinnamon is my all time favorite. She's so beautiful! Though, as far as spunkyness goes, Amy Steel from 2 is awesome! And, cute, too!

Finally, we all lover the kills and gore, don't we? Whether it's an ax to the face, arrow through the neck, sliced in half, bashed against a tree, frozen and shattered face, etc. We watch these movies for the gore, no doubt!

And, so today I say enjoy this day with your friend from Camp Crystal Lake!

From Misti Dawn, Herself: The Truth About The Empire Meow Misti Dawn

Yesterday, I gave my thoughts and words on Misti Dawn being out of the Star Wars porno.

Misti posted a blog updating us on the whole situation. You can read all about it here:
The Truth About The Empire Meow Misti Dawn | Meow Misti Dawn

I actually give Vivid credit after reading that, as well as Steve Hirsch. They have proven to be class acts in the adult biz. Outside of that, I find the director calling Misti fat just ridiculous, and threatening her with firing her boyfriend is classless. Once, again my blog and I support Ms. Dawn, as I am sure any of her fellow fans do.

And, remember to go on Twitter and us the hash tag #StarWarsPornFail and get your word out!

Misti Dawn Out of Vivid's Star Wars

It was yesterday, while lounging around on a lazy Sunday (is there any kind better?), that I caught that Misti Dawn had mentioned that she was out of the Vivid Video parody of Star Wars. I was like, "What the fuck?" Seriously, to me and many others this was, and is, an epic fail.

I've long supported Misti, especially in this blog, and with good reason. She's a real fan with real knowledge and love for geek stuff like George Lucas' classic, beloved, and influential sci-fi series. We've even tweeted about Star Wars (she owns a Wampa rug for chrissakes!). Any true fan would have loved to see her in a porn version of it. I mean she's beautiful, sexy, and a fellow geek how can you not?

Clearly she is someone fans like me want to see in the film. It would show and prove to us that the makers of the film do care about the audience they so wanna to get a hold of IE, geeks/ Star Wars fans.

Misti was/ is not happy; we feel the same way. Many tweets got immediately put up following her mentioning this. It proved that she has us on her side. It got hash tagged #StarWarsPornFail, which pretty much sums it up.

All of this was enough to cause some buzz in porno land. Something that proves once again that A. Misti has a lot of fans that love and support her and B. the power of things like Twitter.

I'm also guessing that somewhere out there in the galaxy Darth Vader and his Emperor are totally pissed off about her not being involved in the movie. And, you guys know the power of the Dark Side don't you?
