Shudder: April 2019 U.S. & Canada Programming Highlights

Pictures come courtesy of Shudder

US programming highlights for April 2019 on horror streaming service, Shudder:

Lizzie and Murder Party will both making their Shudder premiere.

From Shudder's about "Lizzie" about:

Academy Award (R) nominee Chloƫ Sevigny (Boys Don't Cry, "Big Love") stars as Lizzie Borden, the notorious woman at the heart of one of the most enduring mysteries in American history. After a lifetime of loneliness, Lizzie finds a kindred spirit in housemaid Bridget Sullivan (Kristen Stewart) and their secret intimacy sparks an unthinkable act. Director Craig William Macneill (The Boy (2015), "Channel Zero: Candle Cove") explores the days leading up to the savage crimes in a dark tale of repression, exploitation and thwarted dreams. Coming to Shudder April 11.

From Shudder about "Monster Party":

Three thieves break into a party secretly hosted by a group of recovering serial killers and their simple heist turns into a battle for survival. Coming to Shudder April 25.

The new weekly series of The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs, which actually starts this Friday night, will be airing! I am counting down the minutes to spending time with Joe Bob Briggs and the lovely "Darcy the Mail Girl" as they present two movies every week!

There will also be a special "half way to Halloween" collection with the first five entries in the Halloween franchise, including my third favorite entry, 4 and perennial fan favorite 3!

Also of note, is that on April 8, we will have the Shudder premiere of The Haunted (1991) a made for TV movie based on a case from Ed and Lorriane Warren (whose paranormal cases inspired The Conjuring movies). Sally Kirkland received a Gloden Globe nomination for her performance in this horror flick. Apparently, it has never been released on DVD or Blu-ray in the US. I actually think that I may have seen this one, but even if I did I do not remember anything about it.

(Video) Exclusive Interview with the Soska Sisters at Monster-Mania March 2019!

At the March 2019 edition of Monster-Mania in Cherry Hill, I had the fucking awesome pleasure of conducting a very special and exclusive interview with the always kick ass and multi-talented horror masters, the Twisted Twins, Jen and Sylvia Soska. We talked their hotly anticipated remake of David Cronenberg's classic Rabid. We also got to talk a little bit about their current, badass run writing Black Widow for Marvel Comics.

You can see it in the video below:

Horror Collectibles at Surreal Entertainment: Toy Fair 2019

As someone who love horror and coffee, I absolutely LOVED the product shown at the Surreal Entertainment, at this year's Toy Fair. They have licenses to Halloween, Saw, Aliens, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Predator!

You can see the collectibles (with a heavy focus on kick ass glassware) as follows:

Let's take a closer look at that "Aliens" mug shall we? It has a feaking chestburster!!

I had the blue "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" mug, but it cracked. Which sucks cause I LOVED that mug!
I like sleeping, Buffy, and Sarah Michelle Gellar, this combines my love for all three! Woohoo!

MILF Money: Adult Time/Girlsway Banks on its Newest Lesbian Series, Moms on Moms

From the official press release:

(Montreal, QC / March 20, 2019) -- Adult Time/Girlsway is making MILF magic in a brand-new original series, Moms on Moms, bringing together an exceptional all-star cast every month, starting March 19 at AdultTime.com/channel/momsonmoms.
Cherie DeVille and Kenzie Taylor kick off the lesbian series’ first episode, ‘Sister's Mid-Life Crisis’, a lighthearted erotic fable that flirts with family roleplay and illicit temptation from a more mature point of view.
In the scene, Cherie surprises her step-sister Kenzie with the revelation that she’s divorcing her husband after many unfulfilling years, and that she wants to spend the rest of her life with someone else. “So, who is this person?” asks Kenzie. Cherie smiles devilishly: “YOU.” Kenzie tells Cherie she’s interested in someone else too… “it’s you.”
Moms on Moms producer Bree Mills, who serves as Head of Production for Gamma Films, said that “we’ve been playing with the idea of an all-MILF episodic series for quite some time, and the site’s fans - with whom we regularly share content ideas on our Adult Time community page - have voiced their excitement and support of these new scenes.”
With exhilarating performances from adult film’s most popular entertainers, including Reagan Foxx and Bridgette B (who star in the upcoming Moms on Moms episode ‘Battle of the Bosses’), Mills promises that Girlsway’s newest line of lesbian content is its most thrilling yet.
“Girlsway fans - particularly those who enjoy our Mommy’s Girl line - will appreciate seeing their favorite performers together in compelling, age-appropriate themes. They are in for quite a treat!”
Sister's Mid-Life Crisis’ is now accessible to all members of Gamma Films studios' sites, as well as the new Adult Time platform. Those interested in sneaking a peek or purchasing the series can visit to sign up and subscribe to Adult Time's entire catalog of award-winning content, giving its members access to over 50,000 scenes within the Gamma Films studio network.

Mezco Toyz, Toy Fair 2019: Marvel, Horror, & "The Warriors"!

As always Mezco Toyz had some amazing toys on display at Toy Fair 2019. With comic books, horror, and The Warriors (above) on display, is there any wonder why I love their product so much? The following are just some of my personal favorite upcoming and currently available figures from them.

Marvel:

I actually just saw "Captain Marvel" this past Saturday and quite enjoyed it. Brie Larson is a hottie!

Horror:
This Michael Myers from "Halloween II" is probably my favorite from their entire booth. I will have to get and review, him!

I recently reviewed this Jason Voorhees from "Friday the 13th Part 3" here.
This King Kong is bigger than the one I reviewed recently!
This Chucky, which has alternate parts for "Child's Play 2" & "3", will be coming in the mail for me. Expect a review shortly after it does!

I don't buy "Living Dead Dolls". but I might need to change that for the Sabrina from "The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina". She is AWESOME!

(Video) Mezco Toyz: King Kong of Skull Island (Toy Review)

I received the King Kong of Skull Island from Mezco Toyz. This is a gorgeous figure based on the giant gorilla's look from the 1933 golden age horror classic King Kong.

You can see my review in the video below:

"King Kong" footage is not mine. It is property of RKO General, Inc. "King Kong of Skull Island" is under DeVito ArtWorks. It is under the Fair use agreement for review.

Monster-Mania: March 2019

On March 9, 2019, my friends, Freddie and Alan (his first time at this con!) headed out to Cherry Hill in New Jersey for the March 2019 edition of Monster-Mania. Needless to say, we had a fucking blast!

This was as hot as a con can get, with Saturday tickets having been sold out in advance. Thankfully, the three of us got ours beforehand. The place was packed, though it would begin to thin out by around 4 or so.

Anyway, as one would expect certain lines were super long, for example the ones for Neve Campbell and Fairuza Balk were crazy ass long! They were part of The Craft reunion. This was the first time all four of them were doing a con together. Balk was always my favorite in the film, but her line was too much for me to wait (at least two hours from what I heard). I wanted to enjoy myself and had business to conduct, anyway.

I did get the other two actress though, beginning with still beautiful Rachel True. I cannot believe that she is 52, as she clearly does not age! And, best of all, she was so awesome in person! I told her how happy it made me to have all of them at the con. I also talked with her about the amazing Shudder documentary about blacks in, Horror Noire. When she took the pic with me she grabbed my arm and said, "Someone works out!" I said, "Yes, I do!" I can honestly say that this made my year. I can die a happy man! As a matter of fact, True is so awesome in person, that I was dying laughing getting my pic with her!

The next and last person I went up to was the beautiful Robin Tunney. She was very sweet and down to earth in person and even more beautiful! Here eyes are absolutely stunning!

Here is my signed, by them, The Craft DVD. I had pre-ordered the new Scream Factory Blu-ray, but alas it has not come in yet. So, I guess I am keeping my DVD when that disc arrives, which honestly speaking, should be super soon.

After that I has spent so much on autographs that I just deiced to enjoy the con. Here are just some of my favorite cosplays that I saw at the con.

And, here is the swag I bought at the con. They are:
a Fright-Rags Poltergeist tee (bought at their booth, of course)
an Aliens patch for my battle-jacket
on Blu-ray:
Audition (Arrow Video Edition)
Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer
Trailer Trauma 4: Television Trauma
and a Funko Pop Metallica Lady Justice toy

Below you will see me getting ready for my interview with the always amazing Soska twins. It was conducted after their awesome panel. I'll be posting it soon, so keep your eyes open for it!

That's it for now. I will probably be going to NJ Horror Con (for the first time ever!) this Saturday, so if you are there be sure to say hi!
