Horror Crush: Ashley Greene

It feels like it has been too long since I inducted a new addition to this site's Horror Crushes section. With that in mind, today I add a stunner that is unfortunately better known for a franchise that has zero respect for the genre, rather than the couple of horror movies she was in. Well, I say fuck that. as I am here, to hopefully, change that. And, with that I say that the new inductee is the gorgeous Ashley Greene!

Born Ashley Michelle Greene in Jacksonville, Florida on February 21, 1987 (making her 31 years old), Greene is an actress and model. She is sadly best known for playing Alice Cullen in the wretched Twilight series. That is certainly, where I, and most, first saw her. Her stunning beauty immediately caught my eyes and took my breath away. However, I prefer to remember her for the horror movies that she would do later.

That first horror movie came a year after Twilight, in 2009. Summer's Moon (AKA Summer's Blood) tells the tale of Summer (Greene), who hitchhikes (NEVER a good idea, much less in horror movies) in search of her dad, who she never met. She knows nothing of him other than a pic her mom had. Along the way, she steals some shit and tries to escape the sheriff. A dude, Tom (Peter Mooney) helps her out, and they end up hooking. Thing is he is a serial killer, who likes to keep pretty girls locked up in the basement, and he does this very same thing with Summer. Helping him out is his hot but fucked up mom (the MILFy Barbara Niven), who also has a disturbing incestious relationship with her whacked out son. Things are gonna worse, though, cause daddy (Stephen McHattie of A History of Violence), who is a violent, raving psychopath, is coming home soon.

I first caught this one on Chiller TV (back when it still existed...) on the simple basis of Greene being in it. I found myself pleasantly surprised with it! Now, don't go thinking this is a masterpiece, cause it ain't. However, it is engaging and builds up slowly and nicely. I love how it reveals it's dark secrets and can be brutally violent. It's also well acted, especially by character actor McHattie, who is always a great baddie. Greene is really good and likable in her role. Thus, early in her career, she was already proving that she should be known for more than just sparkly vampires and shirtless, crappy-looking CGI werewolves.

I liked it enough to own it on DVD and have watched a couple of times, actually. This would her best flick for a very long time, in all honesty.

Her next foray into horror came in 2012 with The Apparition. Now, there was a part of me, that was happy she was doing horror again. However, it looked like utter shit, and I heard nothing good about it. Truth be told, I never saw it, which considering my Ashley Greene crush is a little shocking. But, I remain in no fucking rush to change that. Any of you saw it? More importantly, did any of you actually like it? Let me know in the comments section below.

She finally got back to doing quality horror two years later (2014) with a movie that would definitely become her best movie, up and until this point, and remains my second favorite movie of hers: Kristy. In it, we follow college student Justine (the gorgeous Haley Bennett) who is followed around by a pierced chick in a hoodie named Violet (Greene) who keeps calling her Kristy. Soon Violet and her insane, Satan worshipping friends stalk and try to kill our heroine.

Kristy is a suspenseful and well constructed horror/ thriller with solid acting. Greene is great as the antagonist and, the satanic, grunge, bad girl thing looks kinda hot on her. It has been on Netflix for a while, and if it still is, you need to see it.

This same year, she worked on what is my favorite movie of hers, Burying the Ex, though it would be released a year later in 2015. I have discussed my absolute love for this movie before and evern wrote a review of it, so I'll keep it short here. Greene plays the bitchy girlfriend of our lead (Anton Yelichin) who gets accidently killed but comes back as an equally bitchy zombie thanks to a satanic statue. The movie is directed by horror master Joe Dante and is his best in years! Extremely funny, fun, and gleefully gory, it is a blast to watch.

Playing opposite to her is Alexandra Daddario, who is already a horror crush on this site. She and Greene, as well as the cast as a whole, are great. Greene is a hoot as the zombie ex, as she is funny, sexy, and evil. Then again, she is a bitchy chick that turns into a flesh-eating zombie. But, I must admit that I would not care and totally be OK with her being my girl. Cause even as a zombie, Greene is hot as fucking hell! In fact, I crushed really, really hard on her in this movie. Make that of what you will. 

For now, that is all that the horror flicks that Ashley Greene has done. I hope she does more and soon. In any case, she is a talented actress and truly gorgeous. She has one of the most beautiful faces you are ever likely to see, with gorgeous eyes and body that is to die for! With a great butt, nice boobs, and incredible legs, Greene is the entire package. And, combining that with solid performances in various genre movies, it is with great honor that I induct Ashley Greene into Horror Crushes!

The 70 Hottest Babes of 2015, pt. 3: 50-41

50. Shantel VanSanten (new)- Love interests for title characters in the DC TV universe, usually suck. So, thank the TV comic gods for the beautiful VanSanten's Patty Spivot on The Flash. Not only is fucking gorgeous, but her character is spunky and likable. It adds to her cuteness and overall charm. Never is she annoying, stupid, or whiny. Which is more than I can say for The Flash (or should I say his secret identity, Barry Allen)'s former love interest, Iris or Felicity and Laurel for the Arrow.




49. Felicia Day (new)- The lovely Ms. Day played one of the best, if not, in fact, THE best female characters ever on Supernatural in the form of lesbian geek Charlie. So, it was heartbreaking when her character got brutally killed last season. Day, though, released a highly entertaining autobiography this year in the form of You're Never Weird on the Internet (Almost). I have been reading and loving it, since I met and bought it off of her at NYCC, back in Oct. In person, she is so sweet and even more cute. The later of which is pretty hard to believe, but trust me it is the truth!

48. Danielle Panabaker (last year #44)- The former horror actress turned The Flash cast member continues to break geek hearts. She is so likable, adorable and, of course, beautiful as Caitlin Snow! Plus, she finally has a new love interest, which only makes her character come off as even more cute on the show.







47. Elizabeth Olsen (new)- The hottest and most talented, in my humble opinion, Olsen sister, Elizabeth really hit it big and looked hot as fuck (red hair looks KILLER on her) as the Scarlet Witch in this summer's blockbuster superhero flick The Avengers: Age of Ultron.







46. Ashley Greene (last year ranked 2012 #59)- After a three year hiatus the gorgeous Ms. Greene returns to our list thanks to her role as bitchy but beautiful zombie Evelyn. She looked incredible as a blonde in it (but then it is impossible for her to not look amazing) it it. So, I was crushing hard watching in the movie (she really gives a fun and lively performance in it, by the way), that I thought, hmm, maybe I could look over the whole being a bitch and flesh eating zombie thing, if I was the dude in the movie... 

  

45. Olivia Wilde (new)- While The Lazarus Effect was not a particularly good movie, the absolutely stunning Ms. Wilde shined as the scientist turned psychic member of the living dead (by the way between Rose McIver in iZombie, the aforementioned Greene, and, now Wilde this is the year of the hottie zombie it seems, especially on this list!). Seriously, she is one of THE main reasons to watch that movie. She also drips with outright sexiness from every single pour on her amazing body!




44. Aly Michalka (new)- Speaking of hot zombie babes, Aly is the former roomate and bestie to Liv, the lead character in iZombie. I cannot begin to tell you how happy I was to see her sexy ass return this season, after her character had left last season. She is freaking gorgeous and just awesome in her role. Seriously, I am wildly in love with this woman! Those eyes! Those lips! That bod! Couple with her talent, Michalka just fucking rocks!





43. Ela Darling (new)- One of my favorite interviews that I conducted, not just at the Adult Entertainment Expo, but all year came courtesy of the beautiful Ela Darling. Ela is incredibly intelligent on top of being naturally beautiful. She is also a very devoted geek girl, which makes talking to her an absolute pleasure. Always busy and always awesome, Ela fucking rules!





42. Scarlett Johansson (last year 67)- She kicked ass and hooked up with the Hulk in The Avengers: Age of Ultron, all while being pregnant, in real life. OK, so it was CGI and she was mostly just a floating head onscreen, but it's Scarlett fucking Johansson for the crissakes! Anyways, I really liked her new Black Widow look on top of everything else.






41. Kendra Sunderland (new)- Best known as the Oregon State Library Girl, this tall and beautiful blonde caused quite a stir when she went nude and naughty in a that college library. She quickly caught the eye and attention of many making her a fast rising it girl in the world of adult entertainment. Naturally sexy and beautiful, Kendra is also a very smart and friendly young lady as proven to me when I met and interviewed her at Exxxotica NJ last month. You guys will see what I mean when I post it soon!

Max (Anton Yelichin), a horror fan, is dating and living with the absolutely beautiful but incredibly bitchy Evelyn (Ashley Greene). When her behavior gets too much for him, he decides it's time to end it. He tells her to meet to her on at the park, where he will dump her ass. But, unfortunately she gets hit by bus. He is totally bummed out by her passing, but at the behest of his half-brother (Oliver Cooper), he goes, by himself, to catch a Val Lewton classic horror flick double-feature. There he runs into the gorgeous Olivia (Alexandra Daddario), whom he earlier met at an ice cream store, where Evelyn berated her. They soon find themselves attracted to each other. But, due to the fact that he and Evelyn earlier had made a wish to love each other forever, unknowingly, using a Satan genie statue, she comes back to life. And, if she was hard to deal with alive imagine her as a zombie...

When Joe (The Howling, Gremlins 1 & 2) Dante is on, he is one of the best directors at mixing humor and horror in the highest possible manner. Thankfully he does just this with this immensely fun and funny flick. First off, as with many of his other works, his love for horror is ever present, and this comes off as a cute and loving love letter to our genre. In jokes and tributes abound, and they are fun to catch. The script by Alan Trezza is fun and has more than it's share of good laughs.

The cast is really good. I liked Anton Yelichin. He is suitably likable enough to carry the film, as our hero. Alexandra Daddario remains a sight to behold and worship. She truly has one of the most perfect bodies in the entire world. She doesn't get nude (you'll have to stick to True Detective season one for that), but she does appear in a bra in a scene that made my eyeballs pop-out, nonetheless. She also remains a solid and very likable actress. She is great at playing the nice girl next door and as such, is simply a delight here. Ashley Greene is the real star here, though, as she is amazingly fun to watch. I get the feeling she had a blast playing Evelyn, and you will love seeing her in the role. She goes between being likable but bitchy to being horrid and bitchy with ease, and always with an underlying amount of unbridled sexiness. Even when she isn't trying to be hot, she remains as such. So I ask you, is it weird that I would totally have sex with her as a zombie?

The FX handled by Ronald Blancaflor are excellent. Evelyn looks like a perfect mixture of decay and beauty. There is also some suitable amounts of gore and gross-out that perfectly add to the horror/ comedy charm of the film. A moment of flesh-eating will keep this one away from most of Greene's Twilight fans.

I thoroughly loved Burying the Ex. This was one of my most anticipated movies of the year, and I am glad that it delivered the goods. Sadly, I have heard and seen some bad reviews for this. Don't listen to them and, instead, check this one out. Really my only complaint is what ultimately happens to Evelyn. No spoilers here, but I was not happy with that. We can discuss this further in the comments section, just mention that you are giving spoilers. I'll let you know there what I had a problem with then and there. That all being said, I fully understand why it happened. Regardless see it. It's on NetFlix, so no excuse to not. I blind bought it on Blu-ray (exclusive to Best Buy). Said Blu-ray looks and sounds excellent but, sadly, has no extra features. It did however cost me 10 measly bucks, so I can't really complain, now can I?

The 70 Hottest Babes of 2012, pt. 2: 60-51

60. Katherine Isabelle- The year's (though since it won't be officially released till next year, it might be your best next year) best horror flick, American Mary, starred this Canadian stunner who previously broke hearts in the Ginger Snaps trilogy. She gives a tour-de-force performance and looks so stunningly beautiful in the film. I been a long time fan, but this film made a fan for life of hers!

59. Ashley Greene (last yr. 66)- Thank fucking God those awful fucking Twilight movies are done!! The gorgeous Ms. Greene returned for the final installment in the wretched series, Breaking Dawn, Pt. II. She also stared in a real horror film, The Apparition, which I haven't seen. But, from the reviews and trailer, doesn't look like I'm missing much. But, it's still nice to see her do something supernatural that does not have sparkly vampires or shirtless werewolves...




58. Susanna Thompson (new)- At 54 she is one of the oldest ladies on this list. Yet, this absolutely stunning MILF reminds us that women do, indeed, get finer with time. Playing Ollie's mom with a dark secret on Arrow, she gives some solid acting and presents us with one of the series most interesting characters. I also tend to drool, a lot, when she is on screen!

57. Dana Dearmond (same)- Dana keeps on giving some of the hottest performances in all of porn. A frequently featured beauty, many times in MILF roles, it's impossible to be a porn fan and not be in love with her. She also continues to be one of the most fun girls to follow on all of the net!

56. Gina Carano (new)- The former Strikeforce women's champ has made the successful transition from MMA to acting in the kick ass Haywire. It's also said she got cast in the upcoming female version of The Expendables. Gorgeous, talented, and a serious ass-kicker, Gina is one of fuck of a hot Italian beauty who I think will be one of the biggest female action stars of all time.

 55. Kristin Kruek (last yr ranked- 2010- 60)- The stunning Canadian beauty came back to TV land this season, with Beauty and the Beast. I haven't seen said show and have NO desire to ever do so. Truthfully it looks like shit. But, it has a following, mostly female, of course. But, hey she does tend to star in a lot of crappy stuff... Still, she is so beautiful and likable, that it would be a HUGE mistake to not put her on this list and completely impossible to not be smitten with her. 

54. Lucy Liu (new)- It's amazing to think that for as long as I have been doing this list, that the stunning Ms. Liu only made it now. But, she's been very busy this year, doing lot's projects, including, at least two I loved. Those being the enjoyable Man with the Iron Fists and the damn good Elementary TV series. Liu is an amazing actress and at 44, stunning as ever. I have to admit that anytime I watch Elementary, I'm completely captivated by her beauty!

53. Adrianne Curry (new)- Model, cosplayer, gamer, and ultimate geek-dream girl, the busty and beautiful Ms. Curry debuts on my list after I was able to interview her in one hell of a fun talk! You can check that out here, and see just how busy this gorgeous blue-eyed babe has been in 2012!

52. Brooklyn Allman (last yr. 41)- The gorgeous and blonde Ms. Allman continues to break headbanger hearts everywhere, as evident by her high ranking in Revolver's Hottest Chicks in Hard Rock (number 5!!). She has also been very busy working on and promoting her band, Picture Me Broken's, new album to be released next year. The first track off the album is quite good, and I look forward to getting the album when it finally comes out. It might just mean an even higher ranking for her next year!

51. Kristen Bell (last yr. ranked 2010- 62)- Though I do not watch Showtime's House of Lies, there is no denying that I LOVE their ads. Why? Cause of this blonde cutie, that's why! She always looks so yummy in the commercials, with those gorgeous, long legs, nice ass, and pretty face. I don't ever switch channels when they are on!

The 70 Hottest Babes of 2011, pt. 1: 70-61

It's December which means that it is time for this blog and me to pick the 70 most beautiful women in the entertainment world. Every year this gets harder and harder (pun not intended). But, it's something I always have fun with. As always I chose from actresses (both A and B, as well as TV stars), internet personalities, porn stars, models, pop stars, metal hotties, and prowrestlers. I have long prided this list to not be like so many condescending lists of this type that over fill the net and magazines. Many overrated idiots that contaminate those ain't here. Nor should they, in my humble opinion.

I would also like to mention that it is not just looks that determines a girl's rank, but also what they have done this year. The hotter they are and the most they have acomplished the higher they rank. So, just sit back and enjoy, as I get this started already.

70. Kate Mara (new)- We open this list with this drop-dead (pun intended) gorgeous babe who plays the lead actors lover in the awesome American Horror Story. Mara's character gets snuffed and comes back as a nympho ghost! Damn is there a better kind? Unfortunately she kills those she sleeps with, who in turn become ghosts themselves. Hey, you gotta take the bad with the good right?




69. Jessica Gomes (new)- Appearing as last month's Maxim cover girl this exotic half Asian-half Portuguese Sport Illustrated babe gives me hope that there art still gorgeous super-models who don't all look the same or bore me to tears. Gomes was my Hot Asian Girl of the Month for November 2011, and it quickly topped this blog, as it's most read post. Yes, she beat out all of the porn stuff, and ain't even naked in it! That's quite an accomplishment, if you ask me!



68. Ann Marie Rios (new)- This stunning Latina porn goddess has been gaining more and more deserved popularity. Having interviewed her, I can tell you that she is a sweetheart. There is no denying that she is a complete stunner and has one heck of an amazing ass! She's great to follow online, and she's always posting hot pics of herself.



67. Kristin Bauer van Straten (last year 55)- Man, this has not been a good year for Kristin's character, Pam, on True Blood. She decayed and then got her sexy ass dissed by vampire Eric. That has to suck. And, not in the good way. But, hey she is still hot as hell! Well OK, not really when she's rotting, but you get my point.




66. Ashley Greene (last year 56)- Dear God, Ms. Greene is so fucking hot. It's too bad that she is still doing those shitty Twilight movies. Hopefully, she'll do something better soon and that involves tons of nudity!






65. Sasha Sweet (new)- This porn hottie is one of my favorites to follow on Twitter. Her tweets are fun, sexy, and smart. Plus, she's an admitted fan of Lucio Fulci and black metal. That right there is total hotness! She was at the Girls and Corpses table at AEE in Jan., but sadly I missed her. Hope not to next time! One more thing, her rack is pretty amazing!


64. Alexandra Brekinridge (new)- Oh my God! Is this woman hot or what?! Playing the younger version of the ghost maid on American Horror Story, seen only like this by men, this breath-taker has quickly become one of the biggest crushes for horror fans out there, right now. Her slutty and sexy performance is sure raise the dead and other things, too! Bonus points for a being a photographer in real life, as well!

63. Anna Paquin (last year 44)- Thank God Anna still gets naked for us on True Blood. Cause, it just adds to the awesomeness of what remains one of my personal favorite shows currently on TV. This year saw her having to choose between Eric and Bill. Hey, as long as the series remains as good as it was this season and we see her boobs, it really don't matter, that THAT much, too me, who she picks!



62. Blake Lively (new)- Gorgeous with killer legs is the best way to describe this blonde honey. While, she's been able to distract men from the torture caused by their girlfriends forcing them to watch the shit that is Gossip Girl, she managed to appear in the more guy friendly Green Lantern. That movie tanked at the box office, but if she had gotten nude, maybe it would have been a smash hit! Then again nudes of her leaked out on to the net, which one didn't have to pay to see. So maybe, this flick would have tanked regardless!


61. Debbie Rochon (new)- The reigning queen of B-horror is just as beautiful as ever. One of the nicest and most hard working people you will ever meet, it is down right near impossible to not love her. I greatly enjoyed her in the fun and gross Slime City Massacre, and she gave me a cool little interview for this site later on this year. Debbie fucking rules!
