The Top 10 Horror Films of the '70s

The second part of my list of the top horror films of each era to the present take us to my favorite time in movies, and I don't just not just in horror films: the 1970's. This time period represented a bold new era in cinema with movies reaching new levels of sexuality and graphic violence. The movies of this era broke new ground, and in some cases, are still not topped. There is a certain attitude that the films of this decade that sets them apart from others. Whatever the case might be, this was the most fun list for me to do.

10. - Dario Argento's gallio remains the best in the sub-genre. With an excellent score by The Goblins, great acting, and the memorable murders, this remains one of the finest fright films to ever come out of Italy. And, speaking of murders, this film has one of the most brutal dental assaults, ever caught on celluloid. Argento's style is also mesmerizing with his camera swooping, moving, tightening in everywhere. A masterpiece of gore, suspense, and style.

9. - David Cronenberg really hit the mark with this smart, horrifying, and shocking tale of a woman who manifests her anger in her mutant children, her "brood". The great acting coupled with the horrific gore and smart script make this one work to perfection.

8. - Richard Donner's wonderfully Satanic masterpiece has one of the best and truly scariest scores ever made. The kid is also effectively creepy, and Gregory Peck is a great hero. The creative deaths are very memorable, in particular the slow-mo decapitation with the head spinning in the air, which ranks as one of the greatest deaths in film history.

7. - the definitive lesbian vampire, this is also the most well done mix of eroticism and graphic horror. Both lead women are stunningly beautiful, though my tastes lean more towards Marianne Morris (the brunette). Regardless, the scenes of these beauties killing, making out, and sharing the blood of their victims is one of the sexiest visions in the genre. The so called erotic lesbian vampire films made today, could learn a thing or two of this frequently underrated Euro-masterpiece.

6. - Romero's own follow up to his classic Night of the Living Dead is one of most renown and beloved, as well as oft-imitated zombie films ever. Knowing that the gore drenched film would never get an "R" rating Romero released the film unrated, a bold move, even today. But, the excellent cast, great writing- including some very memorable characters and political commentary about the consumer being zombies, absolutely smashing FX work by Tom Savini, and great score by The Goblins, make this a perfect film. The movie is smart, exciting, violent (but never in a depressing or disturbing manner), and funny. Unarguably one of the genre's crowning moments.

5. - You don't need to have Christian beliefs to agree with the following statement: The Exorcist is one of the scariest films ever made. William Fredkin directed William Peter Blatty's adaptation of his own bestseller. With great performance's, powerful directing, still shocking moments, and superb effects work by Dick Smith this classic is one of the most highly regarded horror films ever. The images of Reagan masturbating with a crucifix, barfing, and head spinning are classic and defining moments in the genre. Oft imitated, many times by films even more graphic, but never equaled The Exorcist is a true vision of classic terror.

4. - To me this is Steven Spielberg's best film. Long before his production of Gremlins or his own Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom was ever criticized for their graphic violence, came this film, of the most intense movies to ever be rated PG (or probably any other rating). The dialogue, the characters, and the acting is just classic, as is the nail biting climax. Like many of the best horror films, this one is ripped off countless of times, but Jaws remains the single greatest killer animal film, ever. It's score also remains, alongside of Halloween and Psycho, as one of the most recognizable in horror film history.

3. - Tobe Hooper's classic is the single scariest film EVER made. Despite its' title, what makes this film so amazing is the lack of gore, and yet, the images in this film rank amongst the most horrific ever. You don't want to or need to see it graphic detail. Shit, this movie was made with a PG-rating in mind! Whatever the case maybe, it set the tone and standard for all films that followed it. This is the measuring stick, kiddies.

2. - John Carpenter's classic is the greatest slasher film, as well as one of the most influential horror films ever made. Like Texas Chainsaw this movie accomplishes a lot and is scary as hell without ever being graphically violent.

1. -When I first saw this classic, I was immediately blown away by it. Despite the years that have passed and the many viewings I have given it, it still does. The score by The Goblins is perhaps my favorite score for any movie. The gory murders are breathtaking with the opening double murder being one of the greatest beginnings in any genre. Dario Argento's use of color and his moving camera are jaw dropping and astonishing in their beauty. In all this is Argento's best and, unarguably, scariest movie. One that rightfully is worshiped and spoken in the absolute highest regard by horror fans.

Asian Fever #35

Title: Asian Fever #35
Studio: Hustler
Cast: Nautica Thorn, Jandi Lin, Ashlin Van, Sasha Hollander, Kyanna Lee, Jazmine Leih

In this entry in Hustler's awesome series, each scene has it's own little story, so to speak.

In the first scene, one of the stunning cover girls, Ashlin Van, tries to get her hubby's attention. But, he has shit to do, goddamn it! Thankfully, he sees her in her little outfit and decides to do her! Smart man! Ashlin is a stunning, drop dead beauty, and one of this fine disc's most beautiful woman, if not the most beautiful woman. Sadly, the scene itself is sort of mundane and lacks any real heat. The final facial is nice, though. Nonetheless, this is the weakest scene in the film.

But, the movie whips right back into shape when the lovely Jazmine Leih convinces her gorgeous friend Kyanna Lee to try some black cock. They mess around first, until the lucky dude comes into the scene. This might be the best interracial scene I have ever viewed. It is expectationally hot and both girls deliver a blistering performance. Jazmine is truly beautiful, while Kyanna is a sight to behold. She has one of the best asses, that I have ever seen, and an amazing curvy body, that only a goddess could hope to have. The finale with both girls getting and sharing a facial is as hot as the pits of hell. A killer scene all the way that will make you rip right through your pants.

Another amazing scene has the very typical scene of a guy coming in to fix the pipes of Sasha Hollander. She looks smoking hot in a see-through fish net red dress. And, when he sees her masturbating, he decides to clean his pipes out with her holes. Sasha burns the scene with her hot work. She looks great, and this is yet another stellar scene. While, I always prefer facials the money shot on her wonderous boobies is fucking good shit. Your pipe will be clean, too!

The next scene, and second best one, has a dude showing his friend his tied up girl, ravishing cover girl Jandi Lin. She plays the submissive girl excellently. In fact, I want my own tied up Jandi Lin! Ms. Lin gives a great bj and takes both dicks quite nicely. She is so hot in this scene, that you won't fucking care that she only does rotisserie sex. I absolutely LOVE Ms. Lin's tattoos, in particular the one on her back. The double facial at the end, almost literally puts the icing on the cake! Marry me, Jandi Lin!

The last scene has cover babe Nautica Thorn play a bikini bandit, who a guy catches trying to steel his car. He is calling the cops, but Nautica offers up some sex to be let go! Works for him and me! Nautica is a total cutie, and while the scene starts off with her giving great head, it sort of loses me once the actual fucking starts. That said, you get whipped right back into hotness land, when she gets a nice facial.

While, both the first and last scene are nothing to write home about the other three scenes rank high in boner land. The picture quality, in widescreen, no less, looks amazing and sound is nice, too.

As far as extras, we get a decent behind the scenes, but sadly there are no interviews with Sasha and Jandi, only Ashlin, Nautica, Jazmine, and Kyanna. Oh, and not that I care about them, but the guys in those scenes, too. Why? I don't know. I do know this, Kyanna has curves to kill for, and she is so sexy and slutty during her interview, that she makes this must see material. Also, included is a nice slide show and trailers. In all, if this new look and director are the sign of things to cum in this series, then as a great action hero always says, "Yippee kiay motherfucker!"

The Top 10 Horror Films Up Until the 1960s

Every week or so this month, in honor of Halloween, I will be picking an era's ten best horror films, working my way up to the present. I will begin with the classic era of horror, up until the 60s.

10. - Roman Polanski's adaptation of Ira Levin's novel ranks alongside of The Exorcist and The Omen as one of the greatest Satanic horror films ever made. The performances are amazing and the Satanic rape scene chilling. The ending is classic and one of the best in the genre.

9. - The greatest werewolf film of the classic era this movie is, in fact, second only to The Howling in that subgenre. A great performance by Oliver Reed, a wonderful atmosphere, great make-up FX, and an exciting climax make this a must see. Surely, this Hammer film would be a major influence on the latter day werewolf films.

8. - The complete, uncut version of this classic was finally made available last year in an amazing DVD release. While, the series would go more campy and fun, the original remains a pure tale of the horrors of nuclear war. Dark and somber, this version excludes the bad dubbing, Raymond Burr, and elements that kept Godzilla: King of the Monsters from being a perfect film. The result? One of the greatest, and perhaps darkest, giant monster films, ever made.

7. - One of the finest films of the golden era of horror, James Whale's masterpiece is wonderfully acted and full of great atmosphere. In my book, this is the first truly perfect film from Universal's early horror days.

6. - The greatest of Hammer movies is also the single finest Dracula movie ever made. To me Christopher Lee is the greatest Dracula, ever, and Peter Cushing the greatest Van Helsing. Featuring a much better pace than the Universal film, this movie upped the violence and sex content in these type of films. While, tame by today's standards, one has to see it from the perspective of the era. Add the stylish atmosphere, and you have one of the single greatest and most influential horror films, ever made.

5. - The single greatest giant monster film ever made, King Kong still hold up after all these years. The pace is exciting and the FX still incredible after all these years. Faye Wray is, of course, horror's first scream queen and a perfect beauty to the beast. The amazing DVD release of a few years back gave us the uncut version, which added many scenes not seen in ages. And guess what? Despite the many sequels and remakes it inspired, some with some truly amazing FX work, none of them could ever touch this masterpiece.

4 - One of the most beautiful and sumptuous horror films ever made, this adaption of the classic Edgar Allan Poe also features one of Vincent Price's greatest performances. Throw in some Satan worshipping, beautiful scream queen Hazel Court, and the atmosphere and lush directing of Roger Corman, and this is, without a shadow of a doubt, the single greatest Poe film ever made.

3. - The grandaddy of the slasher film is, to me this is Hitchcok's best film. Extremely important to the horror genre, this film features smashing performances and is truly and smartly crafted and directed. Years later the shower scene remains one of the defining moments in the genre. The score by Bernard Herman is one of the most recognizable and greatest in cinema history. Simply put this is a must see, for horror fans and movie fans in general. I mean if you ain't seen it yet, what the fuck are you waiting for?!

2. - My absolute favorite film of the classic era succeeds because aside from the great atmosphere the film had, it is also very funny and very touching. There is a lot of heart in the film, and in, the end, a very tragic horror tale. The cast also give career define performances. The fact that Whales was able to top his masterful original only further drives the point home, making it the rarest of sequels. A movie to be held up, honored, and beloved by all generations of fright film lovers.

1. - George Romero's classic remains, to me, his best film. Not only is this film THE movie that gave birth to the modern concept of zombies, but it also is the movie that pretty much began the modern era of horror. While, HG Lewis had already done gore before Romero, NOTLD bought it to the masses. It also handled it with seriousness and was totally chilling. Add in the powerhouse acting, the excellent character interaction (thanks to a perfect script), political allusions to class and race, and the dark ending, and you get a film that, despite my countless viewings of it, is still light years of its wanna-bes. While, countless of zombie films (many even gorier than this one) have come and go NOLTD remains the pinnacle of the subgenre.

Hot Asian Girl of the Month: Isabella Leong

This being October, I figured my pick would be a girl who has done some work in the genre. Now, admit ably her work has been in two crappy genre films, but she is absolutely beautiful, so who cares!

Isabella Leong was born on June 23, 1988 in Hong Kong. She can speak Cantonese, English and Mandarin. Her Portuguese father died when she was just a few months old, and she soon moved to Macau with her Chinese-English mom. They stayed there till she was fifteen years old.

By age twelve she turned to modeling to help her mom out. At age fifteen she released a pop album, Isabella, but it was not the success she had hoped for, so she turned to acting instead.

In 2004 she made her TV debut on Sunshine Heartbeat. A year later she made her film acting debut in the truly shitty The Pang Brothers movie, The Eye 3, (also known as The Eye 10 and The Eye Infinity). This was an atrocious piece of shit and a waste of her talent. I will say this about The Eye 3, it is better than the Pang Brothers' The Messengers (not that that is saying much...).

Leong continued working on films. Shooting a total of four films that year. She played a small role as Sammu Hung's daughter in Dragon Heat (also know as Dragon Squad). Said movie is a solid, bloody action film with a very impressive cast, that also included Michael Beihn and the ravishing Maggie Q. In the film Hung leads a young group of cops against specially trained baddies led by Beihn. The stylish directing, hot babes, and blood drenched violence makes this worth checking out. As I said before, Leong's role is small, but it was nice to see her in it, nonetheless.

In 2007 she stared in arthouse-lesbo film, Spider Lilies. In it she plays the lover of Rainie Yang. Now I ain't seen it, yet, but you can bet your ass I plan too! Because there needs to be more love stories between two beautiful Asian babes! Check this out:

In 2008, she made her acting debut in the mediocre crap that is The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. In it she plays Michelle Yeoh's daughter , who has to tries to prevent the Dragon Emperor (Jet Li) from being resurrected. Needless to say she fails!

But, she does kicks ass and look absolutely beautiful, in it. This a not a good film by any stretch of the word, but it is better than the other two. Well slightly better anyways. I really hate this franchise. Maybe, if they took the horror element more serious and went for an R-rating, dropped Brendon Fraiser (whom I abhor!), and stopped with the CGI-overdose I would like it. Having the hot female cast nude would help, too!

In the end, I think Leong is a very good actress. She is absolutely and completely stunning in her breathtaking beauty. I hope she gets noticed and gets better and more roles. But, with Hollywood's typical brain dead, talentless bitches getting roles, who the fuck knows. Whatever the case maybe Leong is a goddess! All hail!

The Beautiful Adrenalynn

Before I go on I should mention that that although many say that Adrenalynn is Asian, she states that her mother is black and her dad white. Clearly she is multi-cultural. Whatever the case maybe, she is gorgeous!

Here she is telling what ethnicity she is:

Adrenalynn has been modeling since she a was toddler, for stuff like the JC Penny catalog. She went to SMU in Texas where she graduated with a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts; she was a trained ballet dancer.

She has done work for Naughty America, Digital Playground (where she was known as Adrianna Lynn), and other porn companies.

But the major thing that sets her apart from her peers is that she is a tattoo artist , as well. She works at Psycho Clown in California. I think she does some really fucking cool work. You can see it here.

Of course, she, herself, has many tattoos. And, I, as lover of beautiful tattooed girls, think this makes that much hotter!

Here she is getting a tat, herself.

The lovely beauty also has a great myspace where she posts blogs and pics. She also her own blog, that is one of my favorites to read. I recommend you guys check it out, too.

I really like the way she comes off, as is evident by this interview:

Coming off very down-to-earth and with her amazing chest , beautiful smile and face, sexy tattoos and piercings, and exotic good looks, Adrenalynn is definitely one of the hottest porn stars around!

I mean just check out her curves in this clip!
