Diamante Returns With New Album "American Dream" + Debuts "Ghost Myself" Video At Alt Press

It generally takes over a billion years for a diamond to form, and yet, in just 24 years, Diamante has really begun to sparkle.

With her sapphire hair, a show-stopping voice, runway-ready fashion swagger, and empowering message, the Boston-raised and Los Angeles-based Mexican-Italian-American siren brings a new (and blue) fire to rock and alternative music. 

Today, the singer has announced the May 7 release date for her upcoming independent album American Dream. Pre-save it here. 

She has also shared the female-empowerment themed video for first single "Ghost Myself," which exclusively premiered at Alternative Press.

Diamante spent her teenage years cutting her teeth at local gigs on the Sunset Strip to become the powerhouse performer she is today. A disciple of both P!nk and Guns N' Roses who doesn't fall into rockstar excess tropes or even sport tattoos, she devoted every waking minute to honing a signature "hard rock sound with a modern alternative edge." 

Her unique and undeniable approach caught the attention of Better Noise Music, which signed her in 2015. She hit the studio with super producer Howard Benson [My Chemical Romance, Halestorm, Kelly Clarkson] to record what would become her full-length debut, Coming In Hot. With the release of her first album, Diamante undeniably stormed the scene in 2018 with a #1 song at rock radio (her collaboration "Hear Me Now" with Bad Wolves), along with a Top 15 song with her own single "Haunted."

Now three years later, and after extensive touring with bands like Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace, Chevelle, and Shinedown, Diamante is back in full force and shining brighter than ever before.

In 2019, Diamante parted ways with Better Noise and re-teamed with Howard Benson and Neil Sanderson of Judge & Jury as an independent artist to make her sophomore album American Dream. Diamante capitalized on her newfound and ultimate creative freedom and independence by being her own CEO throughout every facet of the album process. On working with Benson and Sanderson, Diamante praises that they were instrumental in "bringing my stories to life and pushing me to embrace my vulnerabilities."

American Dream shows exponential growth from Coming In Hot — both sonically and with its raw authenticity, proving now more than ever that Diamante's fearlessness to bare her soul in her music is what truly sets her apart.

"With American Dream, I was given the ultimate artistic freedom to express my most personal moments, stories, confessions, flaws, fears, hopes, mistakes, desires, vices, heartaches, and redemption in a way I have never been able to in the past," Diamante shares. "Every word on this album is my personal diary screaming in your face. This album has no limitations, restrictions, or filter, really. That's why the music video for 'Ghost Myself' had to be equally raw and purposely gritty; it's a song about being at war with myself. I knew there would be no better way to show this internal battle than through an underground fight club scene between me, myself, and I."

30. Rose McIver (last year #10)- McIver was amazing, as she always is, tugging at our hearts while winning them with her beauty in this excellent and final season of iZombie. 

29. Madchen Amick (last year #31)- Amick is a goddess. She always has been and always will be. Her character has been going through some wild and interesting things on Riverdale, and her acting is always top notch, as is her beauty, of course.

28. Romi Rain (last year ranked 2017- #10)- Romi remains one of the biggest and most beautiful draws in the skin biz. Sexy and smart, there is no doubt why she remains at the top of her game and one of the most popular women in porn.

27. Krysten Ritter (last year #16)- There are countless of reasons why the canceling of the Netflix/ Marvel shows fucking blows. Not the least of which is never again seeing (unless Marvel make the right choice) the beautiful and talented Ms. Ritter as Jessica Jones.

26. Lily Adams (last year #18)- The beautiful and too fucking sexy Lily Adams remains one of my favorite people to follow on social media. Also, my interview with her, from last year's Exxxotica(!!) remains one of this site's most popular posts.

25. Kennedy McMann (new)- I really tried and wanted to like the WB's Nancy Drew, but it ended up being a third rate Riverdale. However, it's star McMann is gorgeous and great in the role. I hope to see more of this stunning redhead.

24. Diamante (last year #26)- Hard rock signer Diamante is one of the most hard working people in the metal/ rock world. And, one of the most beautiful too! In fact, I think she keeps getting hotter. Plus, her music is fucking awesome! She has been touring her ass off and posting awesome shit on social media. Hence her continued rising rank on the list.

23. Tristan Risk (last year ranked 2016- 25)- Beautiful, smart, and dedicated to genre, horror actress Risk is one of its most beloved stars. She also appeared in the Soska sister's long awaited Rabid remake.

22. Melanie Scrofano (new)- Scorfano appeared in the truly awesome horror/ comedy Ready or Not as one of the antagonists. She looked gorgeous and was truly great in her role. This made me check out and get into her current SyFy horror/ western series Wynonna Earp. 

21. Tatiana Shmaylyuk (new)- Jinjer is one of the biggest success stories in a very long time in metal. This has been a huge year for the band, with their headlining tour and release of their EP and LP, Micro and Macro, respectively, the later being one of the year's best albums. Their beautiful and talented Ukrainian signer Shmaylyuk is an amazing front-woman/ signer and a super crush for many a metalhead, including yours truly.

30. Lily Mirojnick- (new)- Lily Mirojnick is one of the most beautiful women on TV. She also happens to  plays my favorite character (outside of the two lead characters), Det. Meredith McCarthy, on what is one of my absolute favorite new shows, Happy! That being said can we get to next month already so that the new season can FINALLY start?!







29. Arielle Carver-O'Neill- (new)- Arielle Carver-O'Neill, in my book, already has legendary status. Why? Cause, she played the daughter of one of the most legendary characters in horror, Ash Williams (Bruce Campbell). This happened on this the final season of Ash Vs. Evil Dead. That she kicked a ton of ass in the series, did some solid acting, and looked gorgeous, only further cements this as a fact!






28. Madeline Brewer- (new)- The beautiful Ms. Madeline Brewer gave one of the best performances in a horror flick this year in Cam. Said, psychological terror flick takes place in the world of cam girls and is one of the best genre films of the year. It is also, the finest horror movie to be a released as a Netflix exclusive in 2018.







27. Riley Reid- (last year ranked 2016 #34)- Is it me or does Riley Reid keep getting hotter all the time? She not only gives unfiltered, hot as the pits of fucking hell on-camera performances, but she has a great personality to go with it. Combining both a fan friendly approach and a "I don't give a flying fuck attitude" (she even posted a pic of herself with her armpits unshaven!), Riley deserves all the love she gets from both fans and the industry.




26. Diamante- (last year ranked 2015 #36)- Diamante's first full length album, Coming in Hot, is a fun and catchy hard rocker. It is, I think, one of the year's best debut. Diamante, herself, is a great singer with an amazing voice and awesome onstage presence. She is also happens to be one of the sexiest women in hard rock and metal.


25. Samantha Scaffidi- (new)- This jaw droppingly beautiful actress did a hell of a job on the ass kicking and blood drenched slasher flick Terrifier. I seriously hope we see more of her in the horror genre!









24. Amber Heard- (new)- It is hard to believe that this is the debut on this list for Amber Heard, but that is the case. However, with her eye catching appearance as Mera in Aquaman, there was no way she would not appear this year. Somehow, I have a feeling this will not be the last time she appears here, either!








23. Jillian Janson- (last year ranked 2015 #20)- Jillian Janson is a drop dead, breath taking beauty. She also shoots some of the hottest scenes you can currently see in porn. But, what makes her even more beautiful is her friendly and bubbly personality. Of course, that body of hers doesn't hurt matters!







22. Elizabeth Olsen- (last year ranked 2016 #20)- It was great to see that Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch kicked so much ass and had such an emotional arc on this year's magnificent Avengers: Inifinty War. Of course, it is always great to simply see Ms. Olsen, bonus when she is given great material to work with.







21. Sophia Grace- (new)- Sophia Grace is smolderingly hot. When she is performing on camera she is on fucking fire. Her beauty is nuclear level hotness, her eyes alone could melt anything in site. If you have seen her work, then you know why she was given my spotlight, earlier this year, and why she's on this list ( and ranked as high as she is). And, if you haven't, what the fuck are you waiting for to pay (yes, PAY!!) to see her work?!

The 70 Hottest Babes of 2015, pt. 4: 40-31

40. Cobie Smulders (last year ranked 2013 #39)- The beautiful Ms. Smulders returned to big screen in Avengers: Age of Ultron breaking even more geek hearts. She also revealed herself to be a cancer survivor having let the world know that she had ovarian cancer at the age 25. Brave, beautiful, and talented, Smulders may well be the brightest and loveliest stars in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

 
39. Chelsea Wolfe (last year #42)- Chelsea Wolf's Abyss is one of the most original and ambitious albums of the year. Mixing folk, goth, industrial, and black metal influences, the blue-eyed and endlessly talented beauty continues to amaze her ever growing fan base. The opening track and first single, "Carrion Flowers" is one of the best singles released this entire year. And, watching the beauty perform or seeing her in interviews will only make one fall even deeper in the abyss of admiration and love for her.

38. Willa Holland (last year #39)- Arrow is filled with beautiful women, but Holland continues to shine even among the goddesses that show employs. Her character, Thea/ Speedy, has become, easily, the best regular female character. Her whole bloodlust after going into the Lazarus Pit storyline has made her even more of a badass. Just don't make the mistake of pissing Thea off!





37. Heather Sossaman (new)- In the excellent Unfriended, Sossman played Laura, the character who commits suicide after being embarrassed online. The gorgeous Sossaman managed to give move us with pathos thanks to her excellent portrayal and a solid script. With beauty to match her acting prowess, I see a very bright future for Sossaman. And, appearing in a major and memorable role in one the year's finest horror films certainly backs up that claim and her position on this list.




36. Diamante (new)- Blonde. Beautiful. Badass. Sexy. Talented. Hard-rocking. These are just some of the words, one can describe this ass kicking beauty with. Her EP Dirty Blonde is one of this year's catchiest releases in all of hard rock. She is also a forced to be reckoned with online, posting sexy pics, live performance videos, and, kick ass and sexy music videos. And, considering just how young she, I predict big thing for her. The sky is the limit!




35. Jaimie Alexander (new)- Starring in the best new network show, Blindspot, Alexander plays the tough, badass, and tattooed covered Jane Doe. Doe is trying to figure out who she is and what she did before her memory loss. Meanwhile, we are transfixed watching her and the show which is action packed and well written. Alexander is perfect in the role, and while her tats are fake, she is nonetheless a perfect object of desire for those of us who like their woman inked, ass kicking, and gorgeous!




34. Kimberly Freeman (new)- As beautiful as she is talented, One-Eyed Doll's Kimberly Freeman is one of rock's most beloved ladies. Her fan base is extremely loyal. Just listen to their latest album, this year's Witches. It's an exciting and rocking piece of alt/ goth punk/ rock that ranks among the best band has done. Or see her band perform live, as I did back in Oct. It was one of the most fun shows that I have been to all year. Then you have the pleasure of meeting her, and it just solidifies it all. It's wonderful just how down-to-earth and sweet she really is. Oh, and breathtakingly beautiful. Seriously, those eyes of hers are some of the prettiest on this planet!

33. Lzzy Hale (last year #49)- Halestorm's latest Into the Wildlife is one of my most often played new albums. Alternately hard and mellow, but just about always catchy, it has, of course, the amazing talent of Ms. Hale at its' forefront. Coupled with an appearance on That Metal Show, Lzzy is truly one of hard rock and metal's greatest and most rightfully respected queens.

32. Rachael Taylor (new)- Playing Trish Walker on the second best new superhero show of the year, Jessica Jones, Australian model/ actress Taylor really shines brightly on this fan and critic beloved show. Taylor's breathtaking, flawless looks are matched only by acting ability. Here is hoping the MCU has more in store for her!


31. Monica Bellucci (new)- At 51, the ever stunning Ms. Bellucci is the oldest woman on this year's list. But, like a fine Italian wine this pisan stunner only get more gorgeous with the passing of time. It's a shame her role was so small in Spectre, but even as such there is no denying this: she is one of the most beautiful Bond women in the entire existence of the franchise!

My Rock Spotlight on: Diamante

Let's try a new and hopefully regular column on here, as I add more hard rock, punk, and metal related coverage. Every once in a while, I would like to do a spotlight on band or artist in hard rock, metal, or punk, that I think you should check out and it deserves your attention. Today, I'm focusing my attention on hard rocking beauty, Diamante.

This talented and beautiful signer from Boston, Mass. who writes her own songs, was by the age of only 17 (she's currently 18), already garnering the following accolades, according to her Facebook page: "Best Rock Record at the Indie Music Channel Awards two years in a row, as well as wins in the categories of, Best Young Rock Artist, Best Rock Recording, Best Music Video for “IMPOSSIBLE,” and the coveted title of Teen Artist of the Year." 

I first time I heard about this talented beauty was via this year's Revolver's Hottest Chicks in Hard Rock issue (currently out in newsstands and bookstores). After reading about her there, I decided to check out her music and like what I heard. It's got an early Pat Benatar feel to it, with riffs to please fans who like there rock catchy but still with some punch to it, as well as with some bad attitude. It's lead by her impressive, beautiful, and sexy vocals. 

What follows are some songs and videos of hers, so you can check out some of her tunes, for yourself. She has a new song that just debuted this week called "Dirty Blonde" that is just sooo fucking good. It's sexy, filled with attitude, and one of my favorite new songs that I have heard this entire month. If you really wanna hear just how amazingly beautiful her voice is check out her cover of Bon Jovi's hair metal classic, "You Give Love a Bad Name"

And, from 80's pop metal we go to the 90's mainstream rock antithesis of it: grunge, as she covers Nirvana's classic "Smells Like Teen Spirit"

Here are some videos that showcase her own, original music. First off, we have one from last year, it's the very catchy and melodic rocker "Savage". Also, it is very worth mentioning that she looks really sexy and absolutely beautiful in the video.

And, finally we have the hard rocking and totally badass "Bite Your Kiss" which has the feel of a Ratt and Motley Crue with a touch of the bluesier Great White or AC/DC mixed with the sexiness of The Pretty Reckless.
