The 70 Hottest Babes of 2017, Pt. 1, 70-61

It's that time of the year again, when yours truly picks the year's loveliest ladies. As always the process to whittle them down to only 70 is not an easy one, but I'll be damned if it ain't fun! As always, the women are ranked not just on how they look, but what they did and accomplished in 2017. The women all come from the worlds of horror, geek culture and interest, metal and hard rock music, and adult and erotic (both of the hardcore and softcore variety) entertainment. Let us not waste anymore time and get right to it!

70. Emma Watson (new)- Disney's live action remake of Beauty and the Beast, may have gotten mixed reviews (I have yet to see it), but it made a shitload of money. And, regardless of whether the movie is good or not, its star, Emma Watson, is gorgeous. Extra hotness points, for when she admitted that she does not shave her bush!



69. Jamie Ray Neuman (new)- This stunning actress gave a great performance in Marvel and Netflix's spectacular The Punisher series, the finest series they have done, yet. Neuman added heart and gave us a very real feeling acting job as the wife of Micro (AKA Microchip to comic-book fans).







68. Kristen Stewart (last year ranked 2009 #58)- It is great to see that the absolutely gorgeous Kristen Stewart continues to get roles that show off her amazing acting abilities. She got a lot of praise for her role in indie flick Personal Shopper. Combing incredible natural beauty with brains, and talent, her return to this list has been long overdue!


67. Samara Weaving (new)- This beautiful Australian model and actress had a sexy breakthrough role in the bloody good fun horror comedy The Babysitter. She played the title role in the movie, and managed to be sexy, sweet, and menacing. I look forward to seeing more of her. Both in terms of her being in more roles and seeing more of her amazing body!



66. Julianne Moore (new)- A long overdue entry to this annual list is the MILFtastic and extremely talented Juianne Moore. She played the main villain in this year's Kingman: The Secret Service. Said sequel was enjoyable, though not as great as the first movie. Regardless, seeing her playing such a sassy and fun bad girl was a blast! She also remains one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood even at 56! Amazing!


65. Briana Banks (new)- Like many men, I was a HUGE fan of Briana Banks back in the early 2000's. As, such we are very grateful for her return to the world of skin flicks! She has been having massive success, too, and looking fucking gorgeous as hell, on top of being a nasty girl on camera. I managed to interview her this year, too, in a post that was one my most popular of 2017.





64. Fiona Dourif (new)- Fiona Dourif, daughter of Chucky himself, Brad Dourif, is hot as hell. She is also great actress. And, her performance in this year's kick ass and gory Cult of Chucky cements her as one of the best in horror this year. I also had the pleasure of attending the panel of said flick at this year's NYCC in which her and the cast crew from the movie partook. She is also cool as hell in person!





63. Janet Varney (new)- The blonde and beautiful Janet Varney is one of the lead stars of THE funniest show on TV, Stand Against Evil. In the hilarious horror comedy series, she plays Sheriff Evie and never fails to make me crack me up. Gorgeous, funny, and on a horror series? Oh hell yeah, she is gonna be on this list!







62. Daisy Ridley (last year #67)- Daisy Ridley returns as Rey, in theaters, next week in The Last Jedi, the long awaited next chapter in the Star Wars saga. What will happen? What will we learn about her character? I do not know the answers to those, but I can't wait to find out. But, one thing we all already know is that she is such a babe! And, of course, a great actress, to boot.






61. Ela Rumpf (new)- This Swiss beauty played Alexia, the sister of the lead character in Raw, an excellent French horror movie that ranks as one of the year's best. Looking sexy and coming off as menacing in her role, the breathtaking Rumpf will have you falling for her no matter what happens in this phenomenal movie.

The Punisher

The Punisher is, without a shadow of a doubt, my absolute fav superhero, or comic-book hero for those who say he is not a superhero. I been reading Punisher comics since I was kid, along with Spider-Man, they pretty much rule in my humble opinion.

Frank Castle, had his family killed by the mob, after witnessing a mob rub out. He was left for dead, but when he returned he came back as the Punisher! Unlike, other heroes in the Marvel Universe, meeting up with him, means you will more than likely die! Justice is permanent with him.

His first appearance was in Amazing Spider-Man #129. He was set up by the Jackal into thinking Spidey was a bad guy, but he soon saw that that was not the case. The character was an immediate success. Along with Wolverine he helped usher in a new breed of costumed hero, the one that kills his foes.

He would clash with Spider-Man many times , and they formed uneasy alliances. These encounters with heroes would be something Punny would have to endure over his career. Anywho, he eventually got his own mini-series, then his own series. That would, at one point in time, lead to a total of three books being published, the other two being: Punisher War Journel and Punisher War Zone.

Plus, he guest starred in just about every superhero book. Shit he was even in the awesome 90s Spider-Man toon . Unfortunately he and other dark characters, like Morbuis, Ghost Rider, and Blade, had to be dumbed down for toon land. Overexposure eventually hurt the character, and an ill fitted attempt to make him a supernatural hero did even worse. He came back, eventually, thanks to Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon's amazing Welcome Back Frank, which led another series, and eventually an adult MAX series.

Marvel would bring him back to normal Marvel Universe in Punisher War Journal, where he killed various useless villains like the Stilt-Man. really fun stuff!

Now he is back on the big screen. This is the third attempt. The first was a crappy low budget film that had Dolph Lundgren. While, violent and Lundgren was OK in the role, it is marred by a bad script, laughable villains, a travesty of his origin, and WORST of all no Punisher skull on his clothing. Lame. But, hey that Japanese chick and her blonde daughter who play the villains are hot... That one scores a *and 1/2 out of **** in my book.

The next version was in 2004. This is one of my fav superhero films, but I just wish that it had been in New York, as opposed to Florida. That said, Thomas Jane remains the best actor to take on the role. I've discussed this film before here, so I will just give you my rating: ****

So, yesterday, I saw the latest version of the Punisher on film: Punisher War Zone . I know some stuff has been said on the net regarding preproduction of this film, but ignore that. This is a great, truly fun film! In fact, the ONLY complaint is that Jane is not in it. That said Ray Stevenson does a good role as Frank Castle.

First and foremost, this is the first time anyone has EVER gotten his origin right in a movie. He is in New York, too! Also, comic-book characters Soap and fucking Microchip are in it! Microchip, bro! But, the best part? Jigsaw is in it! Jigsaw was one of the only returning villains Punny has, mostly cause the rest end up dead. He is done perfectly in the film. And, looks fucking cool, too!

You cannot imagine my joy of seeing one of my fav villains step out of the comics and collectibles and into the big screen. Jigsaw kick ass!

This is also the single most violent American made action since this year's excellent Rambo. Heads and bodies explode, decapitation, impaling, neck breaking, cannibalism, head shots, gory squibs, fist through the head, and other acts of mayhem splatter across the screen. The use of colors and over-the-top violence makes the movie look like a comic-book, which I loved! The action is fast and furious and the film is never boring or overlong, a problem with some comic-book films. The acting is solid from all involved. And, may I add, that Julie (Dexter) Benz looks EVEN hotter as brunette?

Critics, who are lame and pussies, will bitch about the gore, but fuck 'em. They don't know shit about comics or the Punisher. This is one of the year's most outrageous and fun movies. In a year full of excellent comic-book films, this one does not have the depth of The Dark Knight or the wonderment of Iron Man, but it is so enjoyable, that you can help but have a GREAT time with it. Go get your ass to the movies, NOW! Or at least after you leave work or whatever the fuck it is you are doing right now. **** out of ****

My 5 Favorite Superhero Films of All Time

Hellboy II came out last weekend (still need to see it), and this Friday, The Dark Knight comes out. Both have the chance of being one of the greatest superhero films, ever. But, in honor of that, I give to you, my top five and the reasons, they are in my top five.

1. - As I have mentioned before here, I was never an Iron Man, that is until I saw this film. The character was bought to life perfectly. A womanizing, alcoholic, ass-kicker, and rich guy that saves the world. What is there not to like? The acting is great, the script excellent, the action awesome, the FX killer. The pacing is perfect. In all this is a perfect film. I mean I must have geekgasmed, God knows how many times. The best superhero film, ever. End of story.

2. - This would be king, had not been for a little bit of a slow start, but mostly because of Katie Holmes, who has ZERO acting talent. She really is what stops this film from being perfect. That said, the movie is dark and stunning, with some great villains, acting, set design, action, and dialogue. Plus, Bale IS Batman.

3. - What can be said about a sequel that tops the excellent original? The character interaction is great. I love Wolverine going all berserker. And, there are lots of hotties, including, one of my favs, Kelly Hu. An awesome movie, that sadly, was followed by a disappointing third film. In fact the only that sux in this film is Halle Berry.

4. - This could have been a train wreck, but the killer FX and action give it a must see quality, as does the acting (well with one exception...). This and the sequel got the persecution of the X-Men, right. But, Berry sux in this one, too.

5. T- Now, I know some of you, if not most of you, are shocked at this pick, but hey this is my list, right? First and foremost Punisher is my fav superhero, period. And, with that said, sure this film changed some shit from Frank Castle's origin like making him an FBI agent and moving the action from New York (where most Marvel Comics take place) to Florida, but one change was good, IE, killing ALL his family, not just wife and two kids. Thomas Jane WAS the Punisher, in this film, much in the same way Robert Downey Jr. IS Iron Man. Much, of the film is taken from the classic Welcome Back Frank storyline. The humor was in the book, as was the supporting cast of Frank's neighbors. The graphic violence helps to give this highly underrated film an extra-kick in the ass. Not very excited for the reboot picture that comes out later this year, though...
