News and Thoughts from the Master

Sometimes, there are various thing I want to talk about, but there it's either too many different subjects, or I don't want to dedicate a whole post on certain things. And, so we get these random posts!

First off, yours truly had his birthday on May 29th, but I didn't celebrate for real, till that Saturday, June 1. As has been the tradition for the last couple of years, I celebrated it at Duff's Brooklyn, THE greatest bar on God's green earth. I had a blast with some close friends of mine, and of course, the amazing crew at Duff's. I love this place! At the right, by the way, is the bar's owner, the always awesome Jimmy Duff!

In other news, I got the pro pass for this year's New York Comic Con! So, I shall be back giving you guys the type of coverage that you love to see here, from me and the Master's Minions! Expect LOTS of pics, my words, and hopefully more cool and fun interview, like last year when I interviewed Linda "Vampy Bit Me" Le. 

And, in the last bit of news about me, I recently joined Instagram. I had been very hesitant to join it. I, quite frankly didn't get it, but now that I'm on there, I'm really liking it! And, now on to my thoughts on some TV shows:
First off, a lot of shows had some amazing season finales!! Supernatural, Arrow, Bate's Motel, Grimm, and Orphan Black all had awesome ones!!

And, speaking of Orphan Black, I am so happy that they added a lesbian love story to it! Thanks to this my favorite clone on the show is now, Cosmia! While, I still love Sarah, the hot punk and lead character of the show, Cosmia just rules! Making out with hot French girls is highly approved by yours truly!

And, now even Syfy's Defiance is now in on the HLA (hot lesbian action)! They had two of the show's hottest hotties, played by Dexter's Jaime Murray and The Crow II's Mia Kirshner, hook up!! I've long liked both these babes, especially Mia! I hope things get hotter between them. I am EXTREMELY happy with the trend of more lesbian couples on TV. Please, please, please let this trend continue! It is the hottest trend in the fucking history of TV!!!

What I, the Master, Have been Up to

Since the last weekend of May, I've had a pretty eventful and fun time. After an admit ably mostly shitty month of May, my birthday came and things, for the most part, just took an upward trend. I ended the month with my annual birthday celebration at Duffs. Every year these seem to get more and more awesome, and this year was no exception. We actually began the party a little Asian food place in my neighborhood. Where I did three shots of saki. At Duffs, I ended up doing ten beers (at least!) and three shots of Jameson (mmm, Jameson!), so needless to say I was gone! But, it was so awesome a time!! That lead into hanging with my bros on Sunday afternoon and night and Monday morning. The end result? THE best b-day weekend for me, EVER!!!! By the way, I say this every time I write about Duffs, but you need to get your ass to this bar!! No true fan of metal should live their life without ever having been to the world famous DUFFS!!!!!!

Two weekends later I was in Jersey, for Anime Next. Now, I have to say the fact that they charge 45 bucks to get in is fuckin ludicrous! I did have a good time, but it was cause I hung with my bros, Baldwin and Alan. That and I got to photograph lots of cosplayers, including a few hotties. Here are some examples:

Still my fav pic taken that day was this one. I was wearing my Cobra insignia tee, and when I saw these two beauties I thought it would be perfect, if I got a pic of them arresting me. So there you go, being in a terrorist organization determined to rule the world will get you arrested by hot female cops in Jersey. Doesn't sound that bad to me! It was taken, by the way, by my good friend and great photographer, NegativePop. He's done lots of great pics for my blog, like Exxxotica NJ, so be sure to check out his FB fanpage and like him!

 Finally this past weekend, I went to WSU wrestling in Long Island. Now, I ain't been to one of their shows since last year. It was great fun, with some very solid matches. To me, match of the night was Lufsito vs. Leva Bates. Bates is cute as hell, and she always does cosplay. This time she was dressed as the Black Widow! Hot! The main event where the hot Jessica Havok defended her title against the caliente Mercedes Martinez was a casket match and had a couple of nasty spots.

 This was my first time hearing about or seeing the beautiful Kimber Lee, but I'm a fan of now!! She's a good wrestler and so cute! I think I maybe in love!

My 3rd Annual B-day at Duffs

Though my actual b-day was on the 29th of this month, I continued the tradition of celebrating my b-day at the greatest bar in the world Duff's Brooklyn on the 21st.

I went with my good freinds Alan and Matt. Later on my friends Izzy, Wally, Rollie, and Rachel showed up. I also ran into other friends and people I know from the bar. I made sure to blast some kick ass music from bands like Megadeth, Slayer, Metallica, Venom, Darkthrone, Watain, Type O Negative, Iron Maiden, Nine Inch Nails, and Nirvana on the jukebox.
As always others played some kick ass music from the jukebox, as well, like Overkill, Deftones, Pantera, Gojira, and Guns N' Roses. I also met Crystal and her friend Chelsie. It turns out it was Crsytal's b-day as well! Double b-day bash!! Hells yeah, motherfucker!!!

In the end, I had an awesome fucking time (and got drunk as fuck!), as one as always does at Duffs! Jimmy is the man, as he most definitely always is. I've said this a million times, but will never tire of it, cause it's true: DUFF'S FUCKING RULES!!

I'll be back soon, of course. And, you can bet your ass I will celebrate my b-day next year, yet, again!

My B-Day at Duffs

This past Saturday (June 5, 2010) I celebrated my 34th b-day at my absolute fav bar in the whole fucking world: Duff's Brooklyn. My actual birthday is on May 29th. I did get together with some close friends on that day, in Long Island. But, this was the big bash.

Anyways, I got to hang, drink, and shoot the shit with friends. As always, Duff's is THE happiest place on Earth. By the end of the night, I was really trashed and happy! If you wanna see more pics of me partying and hanging with my friends, you'll have to go to my facebook.

Jimmy Duff (Duff's owner) is the man! Truly no bar on Earth can touch his. None. End of fucking story. There ain't no better place that I could have spent my b-day. And, there ain't no better place to spend a night there, period.

It should be noted, for God Forbid fans, that Doc Coyle of said band (lead guitars and clean vocals) was bartending that night (in fact that was his forth night doing so).

Thrash metal band Horrifier was suppose to have played that night, but due to a car accident to their lead guitarist/vocalist Joe Potash, they had to cancel. He is recovering, though, and the band will be rescheduling the show. Their debut album Grim Fate is out now, and you can order it here: http://www.thebasar.org/order.html.

Anyways, I wanna thank all those who came out, whom I hung with, as well as, of course, Jimmy Duff, and Duff's. Brooklyn I had an awesome fucking time. Duff's motherfucking rulz. If you love metal and ain't gotten your ass out there yet, what the fuck are you waiting for? And, for those of you who have, well you already know how fucking awesome a place it is! All hail Duff's!

The New Duffs Is better than ever!

NOTE: Many of the pics are courtesy of my good friend Alan.

As I have said in the past, Duffs is my fav bar, ever. I missed the opening, but my friend, Alan, hit the new Duffs on Friday. The new locale is now at 168 Marcy Avenue, (Btwn. S 5th & Broadway), Williamsburg.

Anyways, The new place is bigger and better looking!
I was absolutely floored with how good it looks. Now, some have called the old Duffs a hole in the wall, but was, and always be, special to me. The new place is huge and NOT a hole in the wall, by any stretch of the word. There is ample room to move around and even seating in the back. The seating by beautiful, long, white bar is great.

As always there is memorabilia, both new and old, through out the bar.

The jukebox is still the best in the world. I pretty much flipped out when I saw the amazing "Carcass- Heartwork" album was added to the box! That album is one of the first, and best, melodic-death metal albums, ever. Goddamn does this place rule!!!!!!!!!!!!

Of course you here to drink, and while there is no tap beer, the selection is still sweet as hell:

The bartenders are back, of course. So, Tracy and Laurie-Ann are there, and I will be damned if there are better and cooler bartenders on any place in this world!

The old place is still owned by Jimmy Duff but is now called the Bunker. They have new bartenders and has become more of a rock n' roll place as opposed to a metal joint.

So, I don't know how to say this, but get your fucking ass to the new Duffs if you ain't been there, yet. And, if you have then you know what I am talking about. And, you need to go back, like right fucking now. Or, when get out of work. Cause this place fucking rulz all!!!!!!!!!!!

LONG LIVE DUFFS! FUCK YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!
