NYCC 2024: Friday- More Cosplay! More Logan!

The second day of New York Comic Con 2024 (10/18/24) proved to be an even better and more fun day, than even the previous one was! There was definitely more cosplay on hand and here are some of my favorites I saw on that day:

I was originally going to do Colonel Rick Flag on this day, but people liked my Logan so much that I decided to bring him back for another day. I made the right choice cuz I had even more fun as him, on this Friday. And, I got even more compliments on the way I looked. Here are a few pics of me joining in on the cosplay fun on this Friday.

And, finally, here is the swag that I bought on this day:
a G.I. Joe tee- I been wanting one with various characters on it for a while and finally found one at the Tower of Tees booth.
And, I went back to that other booth that I mentioned on my last NYCC write-up to get more of their awesomely priced Masters of the Universe Origins figures. This time around, I ended upgetting: Evil-Lyn (2000x version), Mosquitor, and Hordak (my all time favorite MOTU character)

The next day was Saturday, the day known as the biggest, and I would be debuting a new cosplay. But, that is a story for another day.

For now, let me know if any of you were at NYCC 2024 on Friday and what your highlights for this day were in the comments section below.

New York Comic Con 2022: Sunday

The last thing I expected on Sunday, October 8, 2022, the final day of New York Comic Con (NYCC) 2022 was that it would be the most packed day. But, while I cannot confirm or prove that to be the case, it certainly felt that way. Enough so that my friend Danni, also mentioned it, as did vendors we talked to. Whatever the case might actually be didn't really matter, cause my friends and I simply had a great time.

Now, I should mention that originally I was gonna do a group cosplay (which would have been the first time ever for me) with them for Bob's Burgers. But, when one of them got sick with COVID (she's well now, if you must know), she cancelled, and those plans went out the window. So, I decided to do another day of my Logan cosplay.

And, as Logan I met up with Deadpool early in the day. Well, his decapitated, talking head anyways. He was bought over by OH! Collectibles and was so fucking awesome!

My friend Danni even shot a video of it, which you can see below. It's from my TikTok, which you should absolutely be following, if you aren't already.

Here are some of my favorite sites and cosplays from Sunday:

This SpongeBob Squarepants inspired cosplay is from one of the best episodes of the classic series. It goes to show that sometimes simple is still awesome, when done so well and with such ingenuity.

The following statues were all from Diamond Select's booth:

I started out talking to Deadpool's head, so I got to, coincidently enough, ended the day, more or less, battling that that merc with a mouth, himself!

I also got to pick up two Funko Pops an Obi Wan Kenobi (I mean it definitely seemed and felt fitting enough since I had just cosplayed as him two days before) and Jon Davis, of Korn:

And, with that I bid farewell to NYCC. I had a great time, and from now on in, I hope to be cosplaying all the days that I will be attending. Did any of you guys go? If so what were some of your favorite memories from the con? Let me know in the comments section below.

WinterCon 2019 Part 2: Cosplay Galore!

Back, in late November, I posted the first part of my coverage of WinterCon 2019, but never got around to posting the next part. And, while this was long overdue, with no conventions till God knows when, this actually kinda works out. Anyway, let's stop wasting time and get right back to it, as we dig into some of my favorite cosplays of that day!

 The Empire has glitter!
This Spyro is so freaking cool! I simply loved her look!

Here goes some DC Comics inspired fun for you!

And, now we go from DC Comics to a crossover with Jason Voorhees of Friday the 13th fame! This kick ass mix of Bane and Jason is badass as fuck!

And, keeping with the Jason crossover cosplays, we got two of the coolest things in horror mixed in one: our aforementioned unstoppable baddie with Stranger Things!

And, from DC (and, Jason Voorhees) we got to Marvel Comics!

A simple but super cool cosplay, this Dana Scully, immediately caught my eye. I feel like she really captures Scully's look, beauty, and style. As a HUGE fan of "The X-Files", I absolutely adored this cosplay. I would LOVE to see more cosplays like this, please!

When it comes to fun cosplays you can beat Hooters Deadpool and Miles Morales Spider-Man! And, if you must know, I did squeeze Deadpool's balloons, and by balloons, I mean boobs!

Another absolute highlight was this lovely lady doing the candelabra from Disney's Beauty and the Beast. It's a beautiful and imaginatively done cosplay. I don't remember ever seeing anyone do this before, but damn did she do an excellent job with it!

I did manage to join in a couple of more pics, in my Captain America cosplay. I am joined by two excellent Spider-Verse cosplayers. Cosplaying as Silk is the awesome as fucking hell, Smallz_NYC. Both of them are cool and were fun to hang with and take some badass Marvel Comics inspired pics!
