Reigning Phoenix Music, in collaboration with Hasbro, a leading games, IP and toy company, is thrilled to announce that COLD SLITHER, the reimagined heavy metal menace inspired by the infamous band from G.I. JOE: A Real American Hero, is preparing to take New York by storm. The show will take place on October 11th, the same weekend as NYC’s Comic Con, where the Gramercy Theatre will be conquered by an explosive sonic force that fuses nostalgia with a modern metal powerhouse. "Well, well, it seems as though there are several potential recruits whom have a desire to join our small but elite society of Dreadnoks... This time in New York City! Our services are once again called upon by Cobra Commander and Reigning Phoenix Music to melt minds with Cold Slither! So be it, my Dreadnoks and I will see you all October 11th... The show announcement follows the release of the self-titled debut album in June of this year via Reigning Phoenix Music. Also on the horizon, the G.I. Joe-stanning supergroup are set to join the Decibel Flexi Series with an exclusive new banger, “Cobra Island."

Cold Slither is a declaration of war. Fronted by the enigmatic Zartan and his ruthless Dreadnok bandmates Torch, Ripper, and Buzzer, the band fuses old-school heavy metal with anarchic energy and unrelenting force. With tracks built on punishing riffs, venomous vocals, and apocalyptic atmosphere, COLD SLITHER resurrects the myth and turns it into a modern-day metal juggernaut.

Another Batch of G.I. Joe Classified Preorders Are Ready!

It was only a few days that I told you guys about Budo and Hawk with the M.S.S. being available for preorder. Well, now we have a couple of new G.I. Joe Classified figures also up for preorder, including one never before available in the original line!

That figure is the G.I. Joe Trooper on Retro Cardback. Affectionally known as the "Green Shirts" by fans these guys were the generic troopers in the Joe team. They were really only seen in the earliest seasons of the Sunbow cartoon. They weren't in the comic., cuz the idea was if the Joe team are all elite specialists, why would they also have grunts (not talking about Grunt, himself, obviously)? But, I think they are needed as cannon fodder. After all, you can't kill main characters, but like nameless Vipers, you can blow these guys to the great beyond!

 

I love the swappable extra hands and heads, and that he is well armed with a knife, pistol, sub-machine gun, and the classic Sunbow laser rifle. I definitely would like to have him, especially cuz good guys gotta die in the battlefield, too.

Up next, we got another troop builder figure, this time for Cobra. It's the classic B.A.T. figure also on a Retro Cardback. I did have the original B.A.T., and he was one of my favorite figures as a kid. He was so cool. I played with him a lot, deploying him against my Joes countless of times. Funny, thing is I have all the variants in the current Classified line (Crimson Guard, Python Patrol, and Iron Grenadier. The Artic one has been on preorder for me for two years, I think.), but not the regular Classified B.A.T. So, I definitely NEED this one!

I absolutely love the blaster FX included here. You get fire for the flame thrower and a laser effect for laser blaster. It looks like you could also affix it to the pistol. Though, I always imagined that was a regular bullet firing gun. Either way it's an awesome feature and what really sold me on this one! The damaged front piece and head are always nice addition, as well.

The final preorder is for a two-pack of Sgt. Slaughter & Felix "Mercer" Stratton. As a wrestling and Joe fan, Slaughter has always been one of my favorites in the line. I already have the the version of him from Mad Marauders, which is an AMAZING figures, and one of my favorite Classifieds. This one looks to be based on the version that came with the Warthog in the Real American Hero line, which I owned and loved. He comes packaged with Mercer, who in the classic line was one of three in a pack of Slaughter's Renegades. While, I never had that set, he was always my fav of them. I love his backstory, as he is a former Viper. He looks so cool, with his visors and his no-Cobra patch on his vest!

Both of them come armed to the teeth, with a combination of a revolver, sub-machine gun, M-16 with rocket launcher attachment, grenade launcher, and knifer for Slaughter. And, for Mercer, we got a knife, pistol with suppressor,  and two assault rifles. On top of that, we get alt-heads (LOVE the head with the whistle!) and hands, hats, and more!

G.I. Joe Classifieds from Toy Fair Are Up for Pre-Orders!

I have probably mentioned this before here (I know I have mentioned it on my social media): I am a HUGE G.I. Joe fan. And, I have been loving and been obsessed with G.I. Joe Classified figures. Being low on cash has made it harder for me to keep with the more recent releases. But, maybe that will change soon? I certainly hope. Anyways, Toy Fair showed a bunch of upcoming Joe figures, at the Hasbro booth. And, those figures are finally up for pre-order! Rejoice!

First up is the Cobra HISS Tank Fire Squad. This trio includes a repainted Range Viper, a HISS Tank Officer, and HISS Trooper. Obviously, this set is meant to go with the HasLab HISS tank. I don't have said tank, cuz it was really expensive and out of my budget. But, did any of you guys get it? If so what did you think about it? Let me know in the comments section below.

Anywho, I love the color scheme and the weapons/ accessories that comes with these figures. The multiple blast effects and said color scheme, really fit the name of this set. You can pre-order it here.

Speaking of Cobra soliders, up next is this badass take on the Cobra Frag Viper. I absolutely love the way the helmet looks and his waepons are cool!

The original Frag Viper came out around the time I was beginning to stop buying toys/ G.I. Joe figures, so I never got him. I hope to get this one though. You can pre-order him here. 

But, it's not just Cobra members that we are getting. We're getting some Joe team members, too, of course! Among them are the duo of Law & Order! And, if this is anything like the earlier Joe guy with a doggy, Mutt and Junkyard, then this one will also be one of the best Classified figures ever!

The original Law & Order was one of my favorite Joes ever! This looks like the perfect update/ upgrade of it, As such, they are THE must have of this batch for me. You can have them by going here.

We also get additions to one of my favorite groups in G.I. Joe, Destro's Iron Grenadiers in the form of Darklon!

Holy crap does this figure ever look awesome! I love his accessories! The Gatling gun and sword are as badass as hell! It's a great update of the original figure. Now, I was a huge fan of this group, but they came out late in the line. And, this guy, who is actually Destro's cousin, came packaged with his own vehicle, the rather not so great looking Evader. He obvioulsy doesn't come with that anymore, and that's fine by me. Cuz, I definitely need him, and if you feel the same way, you can get him here. 

This next figure is my second most wanted from this batch. It's Blowtorch!

Blowtorch is one of those figure, that I never had as a kid but always wanted. I mean he has a freaking flamethrower! This Classified version clearly looks cool, and the fire FX are fucking awesome!

We get another Joe team member in infantry trooper Footloose!

I love the weapons that he comes with! That LAW rocket launcher is especially kick ass! You can get him here.

The last figure from this massive preorder batch is British Special Air Service member Big Ben!

The original Bug Ben is an early 90s figure, so I was long done buying at that point in time. As such, I definitely didn't have him. But, damn does this figure ever look cool! I love his guns, and that gas mask is kick ass! You can get him here.
