First off, I know I posted nothing new in October, but between regular work (which you know is a good thing since it wasn't that long ago that work was nonexistent), con life, and everything else, I have been terribly busy. In fact, this is the latest I have ever posted a Chiller report in the long running history of this website. Also, I am still working on my New York Comic Con coverage, so that is also coming soon!
Anyway back to our main story: On October 25, 2025, my friends Freddie, Alan, and myself headed to the greatest of all conventions, Chiller Theatre, as we always do this time of year. As always we had a blast, in fact this might rank among the most fun Chillers, which is saying a lot!
The gust list this time around was packed! And, as such, there were also a lot of fans present. It was packed! The first celeb that I met was Judith Ridley, of George A. Romero's Night of the Living Dead. Now, I have met most of the main cast and crew (including Romero himself) before at older editions of Chiller, Fangoria's Weekend of Horrors, and probably some other cons. But, she is rare, at least in my neck of the woods. So, I was so happy to have her at this con! She was very sweet and soft spoken in person.
Belina Balaski, who starred in many a Joe Dante classics, Gremlins 1&2, Piranha, The Howling, and more was next for me. She was amazing in person! Sweet and personable, meeting her was awesome. The Howling is a movie I love so deeply and was happy to finally meet one of my favorite cast members that I had yet to meet from the greatest werewolf flick ever!
These are autographs that I got that Saturday:
Judith Ridley- Night of the Living Dead
Belinda Balaski- The Howling
Anne Bobby- Nightbreed
This is what I ended up buying at the con:
House on the Edge of the Park 4K (from Severin Films' booth)
Bloody Creek Blu-Ray (from Vinegar Syndrome's booth. I never seen this one, but it stars gorgeous mother/ daughter duo Terri Lewandowski and Christine Cavalier. I had a big college crush on them and met them at a Fango con. They were sweet and beautiful, but I never saw any of their work. I can finally correct that!)
Dark Night of the Scarecrow 1&2 4K double feature, which I got for free by buying the latest issue of Screem magazine. I choose the one with the The Curse of Frankenstein, cuz Hanner fucking rules! (I saw the first one [which is great!] of this double feature on The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs, but I have not seen the sequel):
